Be Cautious of Ego Based Practitioners

I've been in the spiritual space semi-professionally for about 15 years now and prior to that another 7-8 years. So it's fair to say that I've been in this a long time.

I've had multiple Youtube Channels about topics ranging from energy work to paganism to witchcraft.

I've had multiple websites that sold everything from Tarot and Oracle Readings, Mediumship Readings, Walk Throughs and Herbal Consultations and Products.

I've had blogs on everything from disability rights and awareness to witchcraft, wicca, herbalism and herbal healing, holistic healing, psychic and mediumship development, energy awareness and meditation.

It's safe to say that I've watched this community--the Spiritual/New Age Community--as a whole go through ups and downs and various phases.

And I've watched the good come from it and the bad come from it.

And right now I'm seeing an increase of a particular group of people that I would classify as....not great.

And that's Ego Based Spiritual Practitioners.

Now before I get into this I want you to understand that this isn't a fear based article. It just is. It happens in all industries where you have people who are shady or people who shouldn't be working because they have too much stuff going on and aren't able to focus. This isn't new. It's not designed to scare you. It's designed to inform you. That's all.

Now..back to Ego Based Spiritual Practitioners....

These are spiritual practitioners of various arts that are trying to bring across that they are present for your health and healing and wellness and in reality are not at all. They aren't properly connecting to Spirit or Higher Source or Universal Energy because their ego is getting in the way.

The problem is that if you are starting out with your intuition and spiritual gifts it can be really hard to discern who is legitimate and who is just there to take your money.

And unfortunately, we are seeing an increase of the latter occur in this community. It's sad and I don't like it and I don't like having to write this post to inform others of it but, here we are.

Spiritual Practitioners aren't perfect and are just as vulnerable to group think mentality and fear based messaging as anyone else--to an extent even more so but that's a conversation for another post.

As a result sometimes you run into people who continue to practice and claim that they have "dealt with their shit" and are putting out on social media (or trying to at least) a specific kind of message and offerings when in reality...they really shouldn't be. If you have crap that is interfering with your spiritual work then you need to know when it's time to step back and work on your crap before you move on and try to tell clients.

I'm not going to tell you who to follow and who not to follow or you should only work with XYZ because ABC is no good. That's a lesson that those of you reading this need to learn and it's something that I can't teach you. But it's a good lesson in trusting your gut and more importantly your intuition. Trust your intuition to show you who is going to be beneficial to you and who is not. And trust and send out a specific intention that you want to only see and hear from those who are legitimate in their work and are coming from a place of healing and not from ego.

As you do this you will notice that certain people end up leaving your social media feed or you will just not want to follow them anymore and may not even know why. That's okay.

You aren't "wrong."

You aren't "a bad person."

You just are.

Trust that.
